The inauguration ceremony was graced by Mr Ashish Anupam, Vice President - Marketing & Sales, Tata Steel, as the Chief Guest, along with Mr Sriyash Kishorepuria, Director , Sagar Business Ventures Limited, senior leadership from Tata Steel, TJK & the industry, highlighting the strength of the long-standing partnership between Tata Steel and Sagar Business.
On this occasion, Managing Director of Sagar Business Ventures Limited, Mr Sunil Kishorpuria, said, “Fifteen years ago, we began our journey in Odisha as a single-product distributor. Today, we are proud to inaugurate one of the state’s largest integrated steel processing facilities along with India’s first TJK Superflex Welded Wiremesh Line. This achievement reflects our long journey, our strong partnership with Tata Steel, and our commitment to building world-class capabilities from Eastern India. By providing locally manufactured, high-quality welded mesh, we are enabling faster, stronger, and more efficient construction while also contributing to the industrial growth of the region.”
The TJK Superflex weldmesh line is India’s first-of-its-kind installation, capable of producing meshes of width up to 3.3 metres required in residential & commercial projects for constructing RCC walls using aluminium formwork. This exceeds the conventional 2.4 metres limitations being practised in the industry till date.
The facility now has a production capacity of 1000 MT per month, and is designed to enhance productivity, reduce labour dependency, and deliver superior quality with precision for large-scale construction applications including infrastructure, high-rise buildings, and precast structures.
This marks a significant step towards modernising construction practices in India through automation, efficiency, and factory-controlled fabrication.
