Paperman Media ( Bhubaneswar )- For his remarkable contributions to the fields of mother tongue, folklore, and folk culture and literature, Padma Shri awardee Dr. Mahendra Kumar Mishra was felicitated by the Odia Virtual Academy.
In a special Programme organized by OVA at the CYSD Auditorium, eminent scholar Dr. Prafulla Kumar Mishra, Prof. Harekrishna Mishra of Shantiniketan, along with former Information Commissioner and social worker Shri. Jagadananda honured Dr. Mishra.
Presiding over the event, Dr. Pradeep Kumar Raut, Secretary of the Odia Virtual Academy, appreciated Dr. Mishra for his achievements and declared him “Brand Ambassador” of the Academy, expressing hope for his guidance and contribution in expanding the Academy’s activities.
Responding to the Honour, Dr. Mishra highlighted that Odias should dedicate themselves to the enrichment of the mother tongue, collective aspirations, and higher ideals. He also opined that establishing Odia language as a knowledge repository is our national duty and expressed his consent to work actively for the OVA.
Among others noted scholar Dr. Bibhuti Bhusan Mahapatra, Senior Manager of OVA Smruti Ranjan Mishra, tenchical Consultants Debananda Bhanj, Dr. D.N. Mahanty, Sachidananda Panda, and Special Officer Srinibas Mishra, were present in the event .
