Paperman (Bhubaneswar)- The mega sporting event, the Junior National Kickboxing Championship 2026, which commenced on May 30, 2026, culminated in a grand and memorable closing ceremony today at the prestigious campus of K T Global School, Khurdha. The five-day championship witnessed intense competition, remarkable sportsmanship, and the rise of future martial arts stars from across the nation.

Dignitaries and Guests of Honour

The closing ceremony was graced by an array of distinguished personalities.

Chief Guest: Sri Sampad Chandra Swain, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Industries, Skill Development and Technical Education, attended as the Chief Guest. In his address, he lauded the grit of the young athletes and emphasized the role of sports in building leadership and discipline.

Guests of Honour: The event was highly elevated by the presence of:

Kickboxing Demonstration: A thrilling, high-energy kickboxing demonstration was put on display by the talented players from Angul, showcasing precision, agility, and elite self-defense techniques.

Cultural Performances: Bringing a festive vibe to the end of the rigorous tournament, the audience was treated to a spectacular dance performance by Prabhu and Archita, which left the crowd mesmerized.

The successful conclusion of the national event was officially acknowledged by Sri Bichitra Narayan Jena, who delivered the Vote of Thanks. He expressed deep gratitude to the  Department of Sports, the school management, the technical officials, coaches, volunteers, and most importantly, the young athletes who traveled from all corners of India to make the championship a resounding success.
