Paperman Media (Bhubaneswar)- From the hills of Pottangi in Koraput to a new role in public service, Alisha Rani Pangi’s journey is a story of aspiration, perseverance and opportunity.
Daughter of Balaram Pangi, Alisha grew up in a rural and tribal region of Odisha, nurturing a dream that eventually took her to a government engineering post. She has now been appointed as a Junior Engineer in the Housing & Urban Development Department, Government of Odisha, and posted under the RWS&S Division, Malkangiri.
At the Nijukti Mela, Alisha had the memorable opportunity to welcome the Hon’ble Chief Minister with a flower bouquet. The occasion became even more special when she received her appointment letter from the Chief Minister, marking the beginning of her professional journey in public service.
For Alisha, the appointment represents years of education, hard work and determination. It also carries a larger message for young people, particularly girls from rural and tribal areas: where one begins does not determine how far one can go.
At the Nijukti Mela, 1,326 appointment letters were distributed across nine departments, including 364 appointments in the Housing & Urban Development Department, opening new avenues for young professionals to contribute to Odisha’s development.
For Alisha, government service brings not only professional independence but also an opportunity to use her engineering skills to serve communities and contribute to better public infrastructure.
From Pottangi’s hills to public service, her story stands as a testament to the power of dreams backed by determination.
