Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati, along with First Lady Jayashree Kambhampati, on Saturday visited the Atri hot spring in Khordha district.

Speaking during the visit, the Governor recalled his visit to Taptapani with the President of India about two months ago. He said he later learnt about the Atri hot spring and decided to visit the site.

Appreciating the natural beauty and unique features of Atri, the Governor said the place has considerable potential to attract more visitors. He also noted the faith associated with the hot spring, with many people visiting the site as part of their traditional beliefs.

The Governor hoped that the Jagannath Temple Administration, Revenue Department and Tourism Department would work together for the development of the site so that more tourists and pilgrims could visit the place and tourism in the area could be promoted.

He said coordinated efforts by the concerned departments will help improve facilities at the site and benefit visitors.

Atri is known for its perennial hot spring and is a popular tourist attraction in Odisha.
