Paperman Media (Koraput)- A meeting was organized by INTACH Koraput Chapter at Podagarh Koraput Tribal Museum under the chairmanship of Chapter Convenor Ajit Kumar Patra. In this meeting, INTACH Delhi Governing Council Member Anil Dhir participated and discussed about the culture, art and heritage of Koraput. A large number of Jain monuments are lying in a deplorable condition in Koraput district. There are many monuments of tribals which have preserved the old traditions. The condition of all these monuments will be documented. The monuments existing in every village of Koraput district will be listed. The preservation of monuments in the district such as Jain, Buddhist and Shiva temples are in a deplorable condition. They discussed how to save and maintain them. Similarly, discussions were held on how to convert the residence of literary figure Gopinath Mohanty into a museum, a museum for martyr Laxman Nayak in prison, and how to rescue the stolen statues of Jain. Sunil Kumar Biswal, Sudhakar Patnaik, Digambara Sadhangi and other INTACH members were present in the meeting.
