Third Phase Training for Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya Wardens Begins

Bhubaneswar - The third phase of the training programme for Wardens of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) commenced today. The programme is being organised at the Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Bhubaneswar, through the collaborative efforts of the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi, and the Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA).

Addressing the inaugural session, OSEPA Additional Director Sangeeta Behera, Joint Director Jasmin Pattnaik, and Dr. Sarita M. encouraged the wardens to create a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for students residing in KGBVs.

Speaking on the occasion, OSEPA Joint Director Dr. Santosh Kumar Rout said that the primary objective of the workshop is to empower wardens to transform KGBVs into high-quality residential educational institutions. State Gender Coordinator, OSEPA, Lahari Mahanti delivered the welcome address.

NIEPA Project Director Dr. Santwana Mishra and Dr. Irma Kerketta joined the programme virtually. DIET faculty members, teacher educators, and District Gender Coordinators also participated in the workshop.

More than 70 wardens from two districts of Odisha are participating in the training programme, which aims to strengthen their leadership, management, and student welfare capabilities in residential schools.
