New Delhi - In a solemn ceremony held at the prestigious Lajpat Bhawan in New Delhi, the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, unveiled the statue of Pandit Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das, paying tribute to one of Odisha's greatest sons and a revered national leader.
The event was attended by Members of Parliament from Odisha, eminent dignitaries, and distinguished guests from across the country. During the programme, floral tributes were offered to the statues of Pandit Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das and Punjab Kesari Lala Lajpat Rai, honouring their immense contributions to India's freedom movement and nation-building.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries highlighted that the ideals of service, sacrifice, education, and patriotism exemplified by both great leaders continue to inspire generations. Their vision and values remain a guiding force in strengthening the nation's commitment towards the goal of a Developed India (Viksit Bharat).
