Mohan's Three-Day UAE Investment Drive Secures ₹2.43 Lakh Crore Proposals, 6.18 Lakh Jobs

Odisha has concluded its three-day investment outreach programme in the United Arab Emirates, securing proposed investments worth ₹2,43,162 crore with the potential to generate 6,18,725 employment opportunities. Led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the campaign showcased Odisha as an emerging destination for manufacturing, technology, infrastructure and global investment.

The three-day programme across Abu Dhabi and Dubai included investor meetings, roundtable discussions and strategic engagements with UAE-based business leaders, institutional investors, sovereign partners and the Indian diplomatic community. A total of 46 one-on-one meetings and six roundtables were held, with eight MoUs and 16 investment proposals signed or received.

The concluding day featured the Odisha Investors’ Meet – UAE 2026 in Dubai, attended by around 400 business leaders, investors and members of the UAE business community. Discussions covered tourism, logistics, financial investments, LNG storage, green energy, AI and data centres, rare earths, ship repair, propellant manufacturing, fertilisers, chemicals, housing, steel and downstream industries.

Among the key engagements, CAZBAA Project Ventures FZCO signed an MoU for LNG storage, while Rana Holdings Limited signed an MoU covering green energy, AI data centres and rare earths. Sharaf Group expressed interest in residential housing, while PTCL Infrastructure signed an MoU relating to steel and downstream industries. Investment proposals were also received from Dalwin Marine and Turbo Power Engineering for ship repair, Ion Technologies Private Limited for a propellant manufacturing plant, and Agrifields FZCO for fertilisers and chemicals.

During the visit, the Chief Minister held one-on-one meetings with leading UAE investors, focusing on project opportunities, manufacturing infrastructure, value addition, technology partnerships and long-term investments in Odisha. He highlighted the state’s natural resources, competitive power availability, strategic ports, industrial infrastructure, skilled workforce and growing industrial ecosystem.

The delegation also held strategic discussions with International Holding Company and Adani Group on critical minerals and rare earths, metals and metallurgy, chemicals and petrochemicals, renewable energy equipment, healthcare, industrial infrastructure, tourism and skill development.

The Chief Minister also interacted with more than 800 members of the Odia diaspora in Dubai, where Odisha’s cultural heritage was showcased through Odissi and traditional folk performances. ODOP products were also displayed, highlighting the state’s local entrepreneurship and economic potential.

Chief Minister Majhi said Odisha is ready for a new phase of industrial growth driven by value addition, technology, global partnerships and efficient project implementation. Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain reiterated the government’s commitment to speed, certainty and execution throughout the investment cycle.

The Odisha government will now focus on converting investment interest and proposed partnerships into projects, with emphasis on implementation, value creation, employment generation and stronger global supply-chain linkages.
