Government should apologize to Jagannath lovers for violating Rath Yatra

Paperman Media (Bhubaneswar)- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) held a press meet to strongly condemn the management of the Rath Yatra in Puri today at Sankha Bhawan. Pramila Mallick, Sanjay Das Barma , Umakanta Samantaray and Subhashish Khuntia strongly condemned the mis mangement of this year's Ratha Yatra.  They said there were severe administrative failure and mismanagement happened starting from the Rath preparation to Gundicha Yatra. 

Pramila Mallick claimed the Tahia issues of Lord Shri Jagannath. She said Tahia is the pride of Mahaprabhu but BJP government sold it. 

Sanjay Das Barma highlighted that multiple devotees tragically lost their lives and hundreds were injured during a heavy crowd surge. The party stated that over 362 devotees required hospital admission. But there are no admission process not any facilities. But the government people ready to host the VVIP guests from various parts of India. 

Rajyasabha MP Subhashish Khuntia blamed the ruling government for failing to implement adequate crowd management despite holding multiple preparatory review meetings.

Umakant Samayaray criticized the government over broken traditions, missing tahia (headgear), and alleged mishandling of the rituals.

BJD leaders called the situation a gross administrative failure and demanded accountability and an apology from both the Law Minister and the Health Minister.
