Paperman Media (Bhubaneswar)- The 112th birth anniversary of the Jnanpith Award-winning and renowned novelist Padma Bhushan Gopinath Mohanty has been celebrated with the joint collaboration of Odisha Sahitya Academy and Gopinath Mohanty Foundation Trust. On this occasion, the 35th Gopinath Mohanty Memorial Lecture program was organized at Ramadevi Women's University in Bhubaneswar today.
Today's program was attended by renowned writer Dr. Namita Gokhale, Jnanpith Award-winning writer Dr. Pratibha Roy, Editor of Gopinath Mohanty Foundation Trust Shri Amrit Nath Mohanty, Vice Chancellor of Ramadevi Women's University Professor Jyotsna Kumari Biswal Raut, educationist Dr. Omkar Nath Mohanty and Special Secretary of the Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department Shri Deba Prasad Dash were the guests.
"Gopinath Mohanty's masterpiece has enriched our Odia literary world. He has been honored with the Kendra Sahitya Academy, Jnanpith Award and Padma Bhushan for his literary creations. Dr. Gopinath Mohanty's masterpieces like "Paraja", "Danapani", "Dadi Budha", "Amritar Santana", "Mati Matal" etc. have created a special place in the hearts of literature lovers. Gopinath Mohanty is a great talent of the Odia literary world. Today's youth and young writers should continue their work with the aim of making Odia literature known to the world, inspired by the ideals of Gopinath," the guests expressed.
